What is the difference between a chauffeur and a rideshare driver?
A rideshare driver typically accepts individual on-demand trips assigned by an app, and the vehicle and driver change from ride to ride. A chauffeur is booked in advance for a defined period or itinerary, stays with the client, and can wait between stops. Pricing also differs: rideshare is usually per trip, while chauffeur services are usually priced by time, such as hourly or daily.
Booking model
Rideshare is trip-based and dispatched in real time. Chauffeur bookings are reserved ahead of time, often for several hours or days.
Continuity
With a chauffeur booking you can request the same driver and vehicle for the entire engagement, and for recurring bookings.
Pricing
Chauffeur pricing is typically time-based. Each provider on Chauffrr sets its own rates and terms.
